    I love the “Holding Limit”. I feel so bad when i just let the door go cause the person is beyond the limit. I’m just not going to stand there like an idiot forever though.. Ahh us selfish americans ;-)

    @Chris – That’s not always the case, my friend. For example, what about doors INSIDE a public building? There is no exit/enter, there is only a door.

    @Dan – I think it comes down to eye contact. If you make it, then you have to hold. I suggest measuring the distance by the person’s feet and, if they’re too far, don’t look up – just keep walking.
